The Avalier Adventures
The Avalier Adventures is a series of picture books for ages 3 and up, set in the fantastical kingdom of Avalier. Each story is separate but follows the same primary characters, that being Kate the knight and Sebastian the wizard. These books focus on sharing fun and valuable messages for young readers, such as diverse friendships, accessibility, LGBTQ+ characters, and compassion, all while exploring a creative and magical world.
Each book is written and published by Val Murray (Val Murray Books). I've been fortunate enough to know Val all my life, and was invited to be her illustrator in the summer of 2020 when the first book was still being written. Since then I've fully completed two projects for this series, which each include 25-30 full colour illustrations, a book cover spread, illustrated author/illustrator portraits, and a custom font. A third book is currently planned but progress on it has not started yet.

Summary:

This delightful story of magic and friendship will be sure to enchant readers of all ages.
